How to test apps on Samsung Gear 2 direct from IDE

Hi everyone, I have received a Gear 2 Neo from a friend, but I don't have a compatible phone or tablet to connect with, I only have a Galaxy Note 1 which is not compatible. I'm thinking if it is possible to start the Gear and test some standalone apps without connecting it to a phone?

If it is a brand new Gear device, for the first time you have to connect/pair it with any Samsung device where Gear manager is installed. Otherwise you can’t start your Gear device. Once it is started, you can use any standalone preloaded apps even it is disconnected/ unpaired from the paired device. Later, you can also develop and run/test any standalone apps using Tizen-IDE.

Steps to develop and run/test a standalone app in your Gear device using Tizen-IDE:
1. Run Tizen-IDE
2. Create your Tizen project
3. Connect your Gear device with PC
4. Run your standalone app using Tizen-IDE (Right click on your project - > Run As -> Tizen Web/Native Application)
