Device orientation on Gear S3

Hello together,

im on my way to develop an in-flight-navigation-app for para- and hangglider pilots.

I realized that there is no magnetometer in the gear s3 and therefore the deviceorientation eventlistener is not possible.

Does anyone know another way of realizing an compass (using gyro oder accelerometer or something else)? GPS is not the solution im looking for.

Thanks in advance,

cheers, Josef

hi

Using Accelerometer you can find Tilt sensing....

Gear S3 has Accelerometer.  See the example image  from Z3.

These resource may help you.
