App Rejection is Incompetent and Insulting

I don't like to complain, but wish to note the reasons I will not put any more effort into supporting TIzen.

I've spent four months and a half-dozen submissions, working to address the "defects" raised in app rejections. A small fraction were legitimate issues that needed to be addressed, but the majority were either

* user error (for example, app is slow when user attempts to import a multi-megabyte video as a text note)

* outside scope (for example, "app records a blank note" [ when the user tells it to ])

* ignorant of Responsive Design principles (for example, layout is different on a Z1 from a Z3)

* repeat other issues

* ignore explanations given

* incorrect (for example, "Internet privilege is not required")

or

* insulting ("Application does not provide valuable, entertaining, unique and or informative uses.")

It's worth noting that neither the Firefox Marketplace nor the Chrome Web Store raised any such issues, which is why the updates to my app are available there, but in the Tizen Store.

Looks like you are not alone...

To bypass QA seems magic adventure...

Enduser only see weeks or months nothing... but behind the scene Developer have to fight with different updated Versions...

I hope for the next few months... better year(s).

Tizen 2.4.0.2 is latest

OS upgrade from 2.3 to 2.4.0.2 is not really helpfull...

Looks like nobody is interested in focus on backward compatibility.

Increasing Security thingies also could make trouble... I saw 2.4 is not 100 % same like 2.4.0.2

Otherwise such strange things should not happen:

rpm-installer: coretpk-installer.c: __check_malicious_path_in_zip(411) > Not Allowed File name(shared/data/user/)

I am Enduser...

And all I can do is wait... wait and longer wait.

And it is not only fault of Developer... if QA working slow... or make it impossible to reach public Tizen Store.

@Doug Reeder Thank you for this post, I'm totally agree with you.

And the worst of all, they don't tell us all the issues to resolve with the first rejection, but with every submission they try to find new issues and reject again the app, and after months of resolving issues, submissions, rejections... they insult our work by saying ("Application does not provide valuable, entertaining, unique and or informative uses.").

Hi,

Vertification team had rejected my app for three times. I think that verification process is a little bit strict.
