2.4 for RD-PQ soon or never?

Hello.

Please.

Any plans for 2.4 for RD-PQ?

 

I mean I can see daily activities for Tizen 3.x with RD-PQ...

And if I remember correct... TM1 build is released after "1 day"...

 

Please, maybe more RD-PQ Developer alive...

Maybe it is help full.

Because not everyone is able to buy SM-Z130H or SM-Z300H...

 

SM-Z300H seems to have minimum Tizen version 2.4.0.2... internal...

Maybe this is 1 reason.

The other reason could be... support Developers in ALL countries... then maybe more Tizen Apps produced for Tizen Store...

More attractive for enduser.

In 1 month we have MWC...

Then we see if rumours about Tizen mobiles in Europe...

:)

Anyway.

In my opinion is RD-PQ not obsolete from Hardware compared with SM-Z300(H or F)... nor TM1...

How many Devs received TM1?

How many Devs outside India?

 

I hope not TM1 is the future of Tizen mobile Development...

:)

Anyway.

Okidoki.

Short tested with my RD-PQ:

tizen-2.3.1-mobile_20160414.1_mobile_boot.tar.gz

tizen-2.3.1-mobile_20160414.1_mobile_target.tar.gz

 

This is RD-PQ compatible Firmware... successfully flashed.

 

But I can't see any improvements...

No About dummy like in SDK... simple fail/crashes...

WiFi still not work for me...

 

Also u-boot have not such nice "Recovery menu" like the Wayland play files for Note 4...

 

Maybe someone else find the magic difference to older RD-PQ Firmware.

Just a friendly thread bump. Any news on a Tizen 2.4 image for the excellent RD-PQ device?

 

Or, at least, a fully working Tizen 2.3.1 image - any success stories there, anyone?

 

It seems the last officially supported Tizen image for the RD-PQ was 2.3.0, https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Flash_Tizen_2.3_Image_to_Reference_Device.

TM1 is also very bad supported...

 

No idea why.

 

But TM1 device is still for Tizen 3 ""Games"" in use...

Seems they have only time to play with Tizen 3... since months, years...

 

No idea if focus on 1 final working OS is old idea...

Bug fixing is also for commercial devices not longer as 1 year possible...
