Android Push Notification on Samsung Gear 2 EMULATOR for INTEGRATED APP

Hi,

I have read document provided by Samsung - http://img-developer.samsung.com/contents/cmm/SamsungGearApplication_UIDesignGuideline_1.0.pdf. In this document they have mentioned in section 3.4, page no. 11 that "If you provide your Gear application and it relays notifications from the phone, your Gear app will be launched when users tap your app on the 1st depth of Notifications on the Gear.". So, for such scenario, when user taps on notification and the app launches then to let user to specific screen of the integrated app in Gear 2 watch, do we have to code anything? Is it possible to launch other than the 1st screen of the app to be launched when some notification arrives and user taps on it?

And can we test this Notification relaying on Gear 2 Emulator by connecting the emulator with real Samsung Device by following this guide - http://img-developer.samsung.com/contents/cmm/Guideline_on_Testing_Gear_applications_using_the_Emulator.pdf?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hey I can't help you with your question, but I had question. Where can I find some tutorial/guide to send a simple notification to the Gear2 from Android App?

Hi Charles,

I guess you should refer doc -  http://img-developer.samsung.com/contents/cmm/SamsungGearApplication_UIDesignGuideline_1.0.pdf. In this doc, refer section 3.4, page 10's > Notifications app section. This might help you.

Hello,

You may try to register specific AppControl on your app.
