Rebate program for Tizen Wearable developers

Hello,

I am a recreational Android Wear app developper, dedicated to Watch Faces.

Over the last few weeks, I received dozens of requests to port my Watch Faces to the Gear S2.

I looked at the API and am not adverse to the idea, mostly because the device looks really neat :) .

That being said, buying a 359EUR S2 to sell $1 watch faces is not a much of a bargain (speaking from experience: don't do this for the money).

I there such a thing as a Developer rebate program, I mean something that takes it to the mid 200EUR ?

Dear JC Jollant,

Thank you for your question.
Currently no rebate program is ongoing with Gear S2. Samsung is working relentlessly to make life easy for developers of Tizen. Just keep an eye on upcoming Samsung tools.

But you can check out below link from time to time to find out what device is available for Tizen development:

It is a link to Samsung Development Unit Program Device request page.

Any eligible developer may ask for a Reference Development Device from here.

Details (Eligibility, Selection Criteria etc.) of the program are also available in below link.
