Emulator fails to launch, displaying "amd has closed unexpectedly" dialog

For several weeks, I have been able to successfully launch the Tizen Emulator on my Dell Latitude D830 (Intel) Windows XP laptop.

However, as of today, every time I launch the emulator it displays a dialog-box saying "amd has closed unexpectedly".

When I press the "Close" button on the dialog-box, the dialog-box is dismissed and the emulator just sits there with a black screen.

I have tried shutting down and restarting my laptop, and the problem still occurs.

Enabling/Disabling "HW Virtualization" in the emulator configuration does not make any difference.

I can't find any mention of this problem on the Tizen Forums, the Tizen bug reporting site, or by general Googling for the issue.

Can anyone help resolve this issue ?

hi there is already a bug raised regarding this emumaltor problem please follow the below link and update your 'logs' there https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TSDK-149

I'm not convinced that TSDK-149 covers the problem that I am experiencing. There could be numerous reasons for a "black-screen" occurring, and bug TSDK-149 does not mention anything about the "amd has closed unexpectedly" dialog box.

In desperation, I uninstalled and re-installed the Tizen SDK. The problem no longer occurs.

Hi if you face same problem again. then please share 'systemctl' command result. ("sdb -e shell" -> "systemctl") it will help to find the cause. thanks.
