SDK Install fail

So, I tried installing the SDK on Win 7 64 bit: I downloaded the tizen-sdk-windows64-v2.2.71.exe file, ran it and some type of unpacker window popped up, dissapeared then nothing. I then downloaded the tizen-sdk-image-2.2.1-windows64.zip file, but there is nothing in there except more zip files. There is nothing in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\.i
nstallmanager\install-log folder.

So I have given up. None of the threads on this forum seem to help me with the install issues and, to be brutally honest, If you want me to develop software for this platform at least provide a set of tools that install and work or at the least tell me why they refuse to install.

I had the same problem on OSX, the install kind of froze in the middle of the install.  I have no idea how to fix, I was going to try windows but now that I see this doesn't work here also I don't know how to get started.

Anyone else have any solutions?

Hi,

Usually the SDK works fine on Windows. So, you can try. Regarding OSX. I don’t know what sdk you are going to use but please note “Apple Mac OS for running Tizen SDK for Wearable is Mac OS® X 10.8 Mountain Lion (64-bit) and Mac OS® X 10.9 Mavericks (64-bit).“ Also, please check Prerequisites for the Tizen SDK:

Especially, check that Oracle® Java* v6 or later installed.
