Getting a working device

I'm not having much luck so far - the Tizen Emulator is completely unstable on all of my different PCs (Windows 7 64bit, Apple Mac & Ubuntu) - it keeps crashing, so I thought I'd try flashing a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone with the Tizen OS.  However, when I try installing lThor on my Ubuntu 13.04 PC so that I can transfer the image to my phone, it says it's missing libarchive12.  It can't seem to find this library file anyway - is it obsolete?  Do I need an older version of Ubuntu?  Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can flash tizen binaries on an andriod phone like S3.

Please remember, I9000A etc. are designed with protected BootloaderS... To prevent easy OS change... or manipulation at all... And I9300 is not first choice to play with, as HIGHER Security prevents easy repair by mistakes... Google for SD Card restore or eMMC ""damaged""... Btw. Thor searches for THOR as identification string... and Odin... ODIN. :) Best Regards
